My inner tent zipper had been malfunctioning since before White Pass, and I needed to get some warmer clothes just in case the weather didn't hold up, so I went on a little detour to "the big city" (as the backcountry men at Government Meadows had called it)...

ride from there, but the nice bus driver dropped me off directly at Baring!

About this "blog"

This is not really a blog. It is a post-hike collection of photos.

I started this blog in 2009 with the intent of, well, blogging my way along the PCT. I got as far as one first post ("this is a test."). I simply did not have the time, energy and internet connection to keep it up to date while hiking.

For my 2012 hike, I did not even want to try keeping an online journal. I knew from my previous experience that at some point it would just become another chore to do in the evenings or in town. But a few people expressed an interest in seeing my pictures, so I decided this would be a good place to put them.

So here they are. Enjoy!!!
